Chapter 410 His Toughness
Chapter 410 His Toughness
A voice filled with caution, anticipation, and longing entered my ears.
The scales in Zhou Yi's heart tipped instantly.
In an instant, many images floated before her eyes, all of which showed how Qin Shi had helped her and her grandmother all along.
Zhou Yi gripped her phone tightly, her face serious: "Brother, wait a minute, let me talk to Aunt Dong and ask her to keep an eye on Yu Yu."
Qin Shi loosened his five fingers and said, "Okay."
Zhou Yi hung up the phone, opened the bathroom door, and quietly went out.
The little one was sleeping soundly in bed, not waking up at all.
Zhou Yi looked at that fair and tender face, quietly left the room, looked around, and called Aunt Dong.
The call connected quickly, and Zhou Yi asked, "Aunt Dong, are you resting now?"
"Not yet, what's wrong, Miss Zhou?"
Zhou Yi had assumed that Aunt Dong had already rested, but Aunt Dong was still awake. Zhou Yi relaxed and said, "Aunt Dong, could you please keep an eye on Yu Yu? My brother is outside the gate of the villa area. He has been busy all day and hasn't had dinner yet. I'd like to take him to dinner. I'll come back after he eats dinner. It will take about two hours."
Zhou Yi carefully explained the situation to Aunt Dong without hiding anything.
After hearing her words, Aunt Dong smiled and said, "Okay, I'll come up now."
Zhou Yi was very grateful: "Thank you, Aunt Dong."
Aunt Dong smiled and said, "It's nothing, Miss Zhou, this is what I should do."
She and Zhou Yi used to take care of the young master together, but since Zhou Yi came, it's usually Zhou Yi who takes care of the young master, and she rarely does, which makes her life much easier.
Zhou Yi has been taking good care of the young master, which is evident to everyone. She rarely leaves because of her own affairs, except for this time when her grandmother was sick.
The rest of the time, her heart was entirely with the young master.
Ms. Zhou is only out for two hours, so it won't have any impact.
Soon Aunt Dong came upstairs, and Zhou Yi gave her some instructions. Even though Aunt Dong already knew them, she explained them to her carefully.
"Don't worry, Miss Zhou. The young master is asleep and won't wake up. Even if he does wake up and looks for you, I will call you."
"Go in peace, I'll stay in the room and watch over the young master."
Zhou Yi said, "I had dinner with my brother and will be back soon."
Aunt Dong smiled and said, "Okay."
Zhou Yi checked the time, said no more, and went downstairs with her phone and bag.
However, before she went downstairs, Aunt Dong remembered something and said, "Miss Zhou, it's quite a distance from here to the gate of the villa area. Have Lao Fang escort you out."
Zhou Yi said, "Old Fang should be resting now, right? I'll call the villa's property manager and ask them to drive over."
Aunt Dong said, "It shouldn't be. Miss Zhou, why don't you call Lao Fang and ask? That would be faster."
Zhou Yi thought for a moment and said, "Okay."
She took out her phone and called Lao Fang.
The villa area has butlers and dedicated cars, which are specifically for the residents.
With just one phone call from the homeowner, the villa manager will immediately arrange for a car to arrive, no matter the time.
Zhou Yi didn't know at first, but found out later.
Aunt Dong said to call Lao Fang to hurry up, and that's true, Lao Fang is at the villa.
The call connected quickly; after only three rings, Lao Fang answered: "Ms. Zhou."
Zhou Yi came downstairs while making a phone call: "Old Fang, are you at the villa right now?"
"Yes, Miss Zhou, are you going out?"
"Yes, my brother is outside the villa area gate. He hasn't eaten yet. I'll go out with him to eat and we'll be back soon."
Old Fang understood and said, "Okay, I'll drive the car over now."
Zhou Yi said gratefully, "Thank you for your trouble, Lao Fang."
"No trouble at all, Ms. Zhou, this is my job."
Zhou Yi hung up the phone and went outside the gate. Her husband drove up and parked in front of her.
Zhou Yi immediately opened the car door and got in: "Old Fang, just drop me off at the gate of the villa area. My brother is outside."
As Zhou Yi got into the car, Lao Fang turned the steering wheel and drove the car out of the villa: "Okay."
The car drove smoothly out of the villa. Zhou Yi took out her phone and sent a message to Qin Shi, telling him that she was out now and would be there soon.
Qin Shi quickly replied with a "good".
Zhou Yi checked the time and looked out the window. In just a few minutes, the car drove out of the villa area and stopped in front of Qin Shi.
Qin Shi got off the train.
Standing outside the car, looking at the gate of the villa area.
Old Fang spotted Qin Shi immediately, so he drove right up to him.
"Old Fang, you go back and rest. When I get back tonight, I'll have the villa's housekeeper drive me home."
As the car came to a stop, Zhou Yi took the bag and said to Lao Fang.
Old Fang glanced in the rearview mirror and said, "It's alright, Miss Zhou, go ahead and I'll wait for you outside."
Upon hearing Lao Fang's words, Zhou Yi quickly replied, "No need, Lao Fang. I'm afraid I'll be back very late. The villa's butler will take me there, so you don't need to worry."
Old Fang laughed and said, "It's alright, Miss Zhou, I just stay up late." Zhou Yi was stunned.
She wanted Lao Fang to rest early, but it was obvious that Lao Fang would stay here and wait for her.
This is not good.
Before she could continue, the car door opened, and Qin Shi's voice reached her ears: "Yi Yi."
Hearing Qin Shi's voice, Zhou Yi looked at Qin Shi, then at Lao Fang: "Lao Fang, you really don't need to wait for me. You should get some rest."
After saying that, he got out of the car and closed the door.
Qin Shi got out of the car with her, took her hand, and led her to the passenger seat.
Soon, the car started and drove away.
Old Fang sat in the car, watching Qin Shi drive away with Zhou Yi. He turned the steering wheel, parked the car in the parking lane, turned off the engine, and waited for Zhou Yi.
"Brother, what do you want to eat?"
As soon as she got into the car, Zhou Yi took out her phone and started searching on the app.
Qin Shi glanced in the rearview mirror and watched as Lao Fang pulled the car into the parking area and turned off the engine. He then looked ahead and said, "I've made a reservation."
Zhou Yi was stunned and looked at him: "You've made a reservation? Where is it?"
After saying that, before Qin Shi could speak, Zhou Yi continued, "Brother, it's my treat."
"I'll pay." Soft and sincere words reached his ears, and Qin Shi's aloofness softened slightly as he looked at her: "No need, I'm the one who invited you out tonight."
Zhou Yi frowned: "Brother, I haven't really treated you to a proper meal yet."
"This meal is on me, okay?"
Qin Shi looked at her and said, "No."
"..."
Zhou Yi froze, her voice hoarse.
Qin Shi is rarely forceful; he usually seeks her opinion and respects her. It's rare for him to directly refuse her like he is doing now.
Zhou Yi was stunned for a while, then looked at Qin Shi. She had thought that her brother was in a bad mood, and that something might have happened.
But looking at my brother now, he doesn't seem to be in a bad mood.
Zhou Yi's lips moved, and she said, "Brother, have you been feeling any better lately? Less busy?"
Qin Shi drove smoothly through the night, her gentle words reaching his ears, filled with concern and worry.
He said, "It's alright."
This means they're busy.
His job was never going to be quiet, and now that his grandmother was in the hospital, he was even busier.
Zhou Yi lowered her head and asked no more questions.
The person beside me quieted down and fell silent.
Qin Shi looked at her, then placed his hand on hers and gripped it tightly.
