Chapter 308 Voldemort (5)
"You guys, go and bring back the lost little guest. We haven't welcomed him yet, and we can't let him leave now." Voldemort turned around and walked in front of several Death Eaters. He held the wand in his hand and pointed at a few people at random.
Harry had already run away, but Voldemort's words made Lamia feel that Harry must not have successfully returned to Hogwarts, or at least was still under Voldemort's surveillance.
"By the way, don't forget the one hiding behind the tree." Voldemort laughed cruelly, without caring about Tom beside him at all.
A short while later, Lamia was brought before Voldemort by a Death Eater.
"Master, the person has been brought here." The hooded Death Eater pushed Lamia to the ground.
Voldemort's eyes flickered, but he said nothing.
"Good, Avery, well done, Cruciatus!"
"Ah - I did something wrong, Master." Avery couldn't bear the great pain and fell to his knees. The hood on his head fell down, and Lamia saw a pale, thin man with veins bulging on his face due to pain.
"Avery, you are so rude to the guests." Voldemort raised his wand and pointed the tip at the hooded man who was kneeling and trembling on the ground. "This is just a small punishment."
Lamia got up from the ground and Tom walked over. He seemed to have reached some kind of agreement with Voldemort and stopped about a hundred meters away from Lamia.
"You are very smart." Voldemort lifted Lamia's chin, and his pale, sharp fingertips scratched a red mark on her fair skin.
"Let me go." Lamia shook her head, and the next second she saw Tom turned around.
"Don't resist so much, beautiful lady. Your sweetheart and I are one." Voldemort put his bald head close to Lamia's neck, opened his nose with only two slits left, and closed his eyes at the same time.
"I smell betrayal." Voldemort suddenly opened his eyes, and the two pairs of bright red eyes met. The next second, Voldemort looked away and loosened his hand that was pinching Lamia's neck.
“You are very powerful, but I advise you not to try to escape from under my nose.” Voldemort whispered in Lamia’s ear. “I don’t know what you have done, but no one can save you. Not even him—” Voldemort tilted his head towards Tom, “—”
Lamia did not answer. She had a splitting headache now. The hypnosis she had just used was not only ineffective against Voldemort, but also hurt herself.
"Master, we have brought the person back."
With the sound of something heavy falling to the ground, several Death Eaters knelt in front of Voldemort.
"Okay, very good." Voldemort left Lamia aside and walked over.
It was Harry, he was tied up with ropes, his body covered with scars, and he was lying on the ground without a sound.
"Everyone is here, so let's start." Voldemort shouted excitedly, raising his hands and waving them back and forth in the air at a group of Death Eaters like a crazy monster.
"I will kill this enemy again with my own hands." Voldemort walked slowly forward, turned to face Harry, and raised his wand. "But now, I want him to remember me."
"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"
Harry had never experienced such pain before. Even though he lost consciousness, he curled up in pain.
Lamia looked around. The place was full of Death Eaters. There was no chance of sneaking away. Besides, Tom would not let her leave.
"what!"
Lamia looked over and saw Harry regaining consciousness. He was holding his head in pain and rolling around as if his body was on fire.
Voldemort became even more excited and he couldn't control himself to increase his magic power. Harry was in even greater pain and bright red blood began to ooze out of his skin.
Everyone was shocked by this scene. The Death Eaters felt insecure, fearing that such pain would fall upon themselves, and they all knelt on the ground.
"Master, if this continues, he might..."
"Shut up, Lucius." Voldemort turned around, his scarlet eyes seemed to be filled with cold light, which scared Lucius so much that he dared not speak anymore.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Lamia quickly turned into a bat, trying to escape from the encirclement. She was betting that Tom would not attack her.
"madness!"
The next second, Lamia was knocked to the ground by a spell and spit out a mouthful of blood. She looked in the direction of the spell and saw Voldemort. He had his back to Lamia, but the spell fell on her.
"I told you long ago that we are one." Voldemort turned and pointed his wand at Lamia.
"A small punishment."
Lamia had never experienced such painful torture. All the bones in her body were burning, her head was about to split, and her eyeballs were spinning wildly in her skull. At this time, Lamia just wanted to die immediately.
The ordeal ended suddenly.
Lamia was gasping for breath, and she was covered in sweat, as if she had just come out of the water.
No one at the scene made a sound, and Voldemort's pressure weighed down on everyone's head.
Lamia, tied to the tombstone with Harry, looked up through a veil of mist into the glowing red eyes.
The laughter of the Death Eaters echoed in the night air.
"I think you have seen how foolish it is to think that this boy is stronger than I am," said Voldemort, "but I will clear that misconception from your minds once and for all.
"It was a stroke of luck that Harry Potter escaped me. Now I will prove my power by killing him, here and now, in front of you, with no Dumbledore to protect him and no mother to sacrifice for him.
I will give him the chance, he can fight me, so that you will not doubt who is stronger, just wait a moment, Nagini." He whispered, and the big snake slithered over the grass to where the Death Eaters stood.
"Put him down and give him his wand back."
The moment Harry was put down, his legs were shaking and he could not stand steadily. He stood on the weed-covered graveyard. The Death Eaters came closer and surrounded him and Voldemort tightly, squeezing out the spaces where the Death Eaters who did not come should have stood.
A Death Eater took Harry's wand and shoved it roughly into his hand without even looking at him, then went back into the circle of Death Eaters.
Lamia looked at the tall figure standing alone at the back of the crowd. He almost merged into the darkness. He had clearly promised her but he just stood by and watched.
Now all hope lies on Cedric, and she can only pray that he has returned to Hogwarts. As long as Dumbledore comes, she and Harry can survive.
"You have learned to duel, have you not, Harry Potter?" Voldemort asked quietly, his red eyes gleaming in the darkness.
Lamia looked over worriedly. Harry knew almost no offensive spells. Even his best spell, Expelliarmus, was useless in this situation.
Voldemort obviously knew that the look on Harry's face pleased him deeply.
"Let us bow to each other, Harry," said Voldemort, bowing slightly, but his snake-like face was still fixed on Harry. "Come, etiquette must be observed. Dumbledore would have expected you to behave gracefully. Bow to Death, Harry."
The Death Eaters roared with laughter again, and Voldemort's lipless mouth cracked into a smile.
