Chapter 244 Exposed
Chapter 244 Exposed
"Professor, I..." Neville swallowed hesitantly, then looked at Harry for help. He definitely didn't want to go to the office for tea with Moody.
"Uh, Professor, I suddenly remembered that I have something else to talk to Neville about." Harry clutched the edge of his pants tightly with his fingers, as if he had no confidence in the reason he made up.
"Really?" Moody's fake eye looked back and forth between the two of them, while the real one was staring straight at Neville, frightening him so much that he almost couldn't breathe. Coupled with the stimulation just now, Lamia felt that he would faint in the next second.
"Professor, I think we should let Neville go back to the dormitory to rest. I'll come and have tea with you, how about that?" Lamia said. Harry had never expected Lamia to say that, and for a moment he didn't know how to help her continue.
"Are you... Lamia Nocturne?" Moody looked over. "A very special girl." Moody subconsciously licked his dry lips, but the next second he seemed to realize something and quickly returned to his normal state.
He moved so quickly that no one except Lamia noticed.
But even in less than a second, Lamia had already noticed that Moody was abnormal. She was too familiar with this action.
"Yes, Professor, I wonder if I have the honor?" Lamia said with a smile. No one would refuse a girl with an innocent smile, not even a Death Eater.
Lamia watched Harry and the others take Neville away, and at the same time accepted the stare from the two of them for three minutes, especially Harry. The surprise in his eyes made Lamia feel that he would ask something in the next second.
But luckily he didn't say anything.
"Professor, are we going now?" Lamia said as she hugged her book in her arms and blinked at Moody who was a little silent in front of her. No, actually it was little Barty.
"You..." Moody looked at Lamia deeply, but in the end he said nothing. He took a difficult step forward on his wooden legs.
Lamia quickly followed. She couldn't miss this opportunity. Even if Moody discovered her ulterior motives, so what? She also had something on him. Who would believe that a Death Eater had sneaked into Hogwarts without the help of an insider?
Lamia followed him closely, but at this moment, a long-lost voice suddenly sounded in her mind.
"The mission timeline has arrived. Host, please complete the second rescue mission within the specified time - saving Cedric's life."
Lamia stopped instantly, her eyes widening, "System, are you still alive?"
"Mission has been issued"
As expected, the system is still the same system, without any humanity, and the dream is just an illusion.
Lamia shook her head and recalled what the system had just said. It asked her to save Cedric. How could he need her to save him? This was too strange.
"System, why should I save Cedric? He's a senior student at Hogwarts. What danger could possibly happen to him?"
"...Why don't you find someone else?" Lamia rolled her eyes. She had never seen such a creature, or maybe it wasn't a creature, but how could she, as a thinking being, say such a thing!
The system stopped replying, and Lamia felt that it must also feel that what she said was too much.
"Noktern, my tea leaves are about to sprout."
At this moment, Lamia suddenly heard a somewhat angry voice in front of her. She then remembered what she was going to do. When she looked up, she saw Moody's angry eyes.
"I'm sorry, professor. I was so moved by what you said in class that I was distracted just now." Lamia said calmly, as if she didn't think she was wrong at all.
"Well, can you come with me now?" Moody said helplessly, suppressing his anger.
"Of course."
This time Lamia quickly followed.
It didn't take long for the two of them to arrive at Moody's office. It had to be said that this place was very consistent with Lamia's understanding of Death Eaters. It was completely dark, and even a candle was a good thing, let alone a lamp.
Lamia curled her lips in disgust. She had never spoken to someone face to face in such dim light.
"Professor, why don't you turn on the light?" Lamia couldn't help but said, "The light was too dark. She couldn't see what was inside at all. How could she investigate?"
"Nocktern, do you drink tea with your eyes?" Moody snorted coldly, still fiddling with something in the dark.
"In that case, I'm sorry, professor, I don't like to force myself, except in some special circumstances." Lamia threw a ball of flame into the fireplace, and sure enough, the whole room lit up.
In this light, Lamia could even see the bottles and jars in front of Moody, some of which were even steaming, as if they were really tea.
"You rude fellow!" Moody stormed over, waving his wand. "I'm going to teach you a lesson, so you'll know why I'm an Auror!"
"Really? Mr. Crouch?" Lamia's sudden words made Moody panic for a moment, but he quickly calmed down and poured another mouthful of liquid into his mouth. It was still the liquid that Lamia couldn't tell what it was.
"What are you talking about?" Moody sneered, his wand clenched tightly in his hand, as if he would attack Lamia in the next second.
"It's nothing, I forgot your last name. I'm so sorry, my memory is not very good, and I always confuse the Minister of Magic's name with others." Lamia found a sofa and sat down, and Moody followed.
"Really? Then it seems like you two know each other very well." Moody looked at Lamia tentatively, wanting to find out from her the reason why his identity was exposed. Although he did not attack immediately, his murderous intent had not dissipated at all.
"No, it's just that you two are too similar, especially your eyes." Lamia raised her head and said seriously.
"I didn't know that—ah, it's an honor." Moody turned a corner and stood sideways next to Lamia, trying to hide his raised wand, but Lamia had already noticed it.
I have to say that little Batty is still no match for the real Moody.
"Professor, I advise you to think carefully before taking any action. After all, I have no ill intentions." Lamia kept her head down, seemingly not noticing what was happening on the field.
