Chapter 412 The one knocking on the door is not a human
That night.
Youhuang lay on the couch, thinking about the conversation he had with Grandma Xiang during the day.
After chatting for a few cups of tea, Youhuang realized that if he wanted to become a disciple of Jueqing Peak, he had to go to Jueqing Peak for a test before officially becoming a disciple.
If the person who wants to become Jueqing's disciple passes the test, in addition to the seven sects, twelve schools and eight great families who will send people to watch the ceremony, the immortal world, the demon world, the devil world and the ghost world will also send envoys to congratulate. The scene will be even more spectacular than the enthronement of an emperor in the human world.
"Flower girl."
Geng Xiaofeng's voice came from outside.
When he suddenly heard the voice of "Hua Girl", Youhuang almost thought that the Japanese invaders had entered the village.
After sending Grandma Xiang away during the day, Youhuang specifically told Geng Xiaofeng not to reveal her real name, but when Geng Xiaofeng called her like that, Youhuang couldn't help but regret it.
"What's the matter?"
A cold voice came out, and Geng Xiaofeng perked up and said, "I want to tell you to just take a rest, and I will come to look after the mansion tonight."
"I have set up formations around the house. I will notice any movement. You should go to bed early." Since Youhuang came to the world of cultivation, he would set up formations at night even if he did not sleep. It could not prevent the real strong from attacking, but it could buy more time.
Geng Xiaofeng let out a soft "oh" and returned to his room. He lay on the bed but couldn't fall asleep. He seemed to always hear some strange noises in his ears.
Tuk tuk…
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Geng Xiaofeng sat up immediately.
Just as I was about to get out of bed to open the door, I heard You Huang's voice: "Don't go out, the person knocking on the door is not a human, turn off the lights and pretend you didn't hear anything."
The one knocking on the door is not a human...
Geng Xiaofeng was frightened, it was either a human or a ghost.
I quickly turned off the lights and covered myself tightly, but the knocking on the door continued.
When Youhuang heard the knock on the door, she used her spiritual sense to investigate, but saw nothing. However, the talisman she had pasted on the door before nightfall instantly ignited.
She had felt that Guye City was a little strange during the day. It was true that it contained the aura of Taoism, but it also had an indescribable weirdness. It was not until the ghost-chasing talisman she had posted burned that she realized that the entire ancient city was a huge formation that seemed to be suppressing something.
After the talisman burned to ashes, there was another knock on the door. Geng Xiaofeng was so frightened that he dared not breathe.
Youhuang suddenly thought of Lu Shi. Could it be that there were some evil ghosts and resentful spirits suppressed down there that dared not come out during the day and only came out to cause trouble at night?
Thinking about how she asked Granny Xiang during the day whether she had discovered Cheng Ting Daoyun, and the expression on her face that the old lady tried hard to conceal, it seemed that she knew something about the inside story. If it was just ghosts causing trouble, with Xue Xuan Sect's ceiling-level combat power, they would have been wiped out long ago, unless there was some reason that forced them to focus on suppression.
She put her hands, which had finally recovered, in front of her eyes. Although the injuries were not serious, they were really painful. She didn't want to experience the same pain again in such a short period of time, so she decided to wait and see.
"Help me..."
Grandma Xiang's cry for help suddenly rang out, and Youhuang sat up abruptly, not knowing whether he should go over to help.
While I was still hesitating, I heard Granny Xiang kowtow and say, "I am already this old, and my life span is coming to an end. I won't survive for many days even if you take me away. I will be separated from you by two young people... They are more suitable than me."
"..."
"Ghost Exorcist..."
Granny Xiang said in shock, "They just moved in during the day. I'm not familiar with them. I only knew that the little girl was going to join the Xuexuan Sect soon. I didn't know they were exorcists."
"You were injured by the talisman fire. I'm afraid only a spellcaster can heal you. Go find them."
"..."
Youhuang never heard the other party's voice, but heard Grandma Xiang's words clearly.
Unexpectedly, the amiable old man during the day would betray them instead. Fortunately, the evil ghosts did not dare to approach them due to their exorcism talismans, otherwise they would have to waste time converting the ghosts.
Following the principle of less trouble is better, Youhuang lay back on the bed. The streets outside were full of ghosts, so he naturally couldn't fall asleep. Besides the voice of Grandma Xiang begging for mercy, he could also faintly hear the sound of stringed instruments.
Who plays the piano so late at night without taking a rest?
Youhuang immediately released his spiritual sense, and finally saw a man in snow-white clothes playing a stringless harp on the city wall.
The man without strings was able to produce the sound of the great Dao, and his attainments in playing the lyre were far superior to his own. He probably intended to appease the ghosts, so there was no trace of murderous intent in the sound of the lyre. Unfortunately, the sound of the lyre was too weak and could not be heard far away, so it had little influence on the ghosts.
Youhuang withdrew his consciousness. If he just wanted to comfort her, there would be no need to use the Shenji Qin.
Walking out of the room, I saw the outside of the barrier. The fog was so heavy that it covered the stars and the moon, and also blocked the prying eyes of those who were interested.
Picking a leaf casually, Youhuang sat in the same place where he sat during the day, put the leaf to his lips and blew it gently, which for a moment drowned out the faint sound of the avenue.
When it comes to calming the mind and purifying resentment, Buddhism is indispensable.
As soon as the Sanskrit sound came out, all the resentment was washed away, and the mind was clear as a cleansed mind. It was a pity that there was no monk chanting, otherwise the effect would be better.
When Geng Xiaofeng heard Grandma Xiang's cry for help, he was terrified. But suddenly he heard a holy and peaceful music. The depression in his heart gradually dissipated, and his originally restless meridians gradually calmed down. He fell asleep unknowingly.
"Namo Amitabha!"
Just as Youhuang was worrying about no one chanting the sutra, he heard a Buddhist chant, followed by the sound of reciting the sutra: "When Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva practiced deep Prajna Paramita, he saw that the five aggregates were empty and overcame all suffering. Shariputra, color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and the same is true for feeling, thought, action, and consciousness. Shariputra, all dharmas are empty in nature, neither born nor destroyed, neither dirty nor clean, neither increasing nor decreasing. Therefore, in the void there is no color, no feeling, thought, action, or consciousness, no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, or mind, no color, sound, smell, taste, or touch, no eye realm, and even no consciousness realm.
There is no ignorance, nor is there an end to ignorance, and even no old age and death, nor is there an end to old age and death. There is no suffering, no accumulation, no extinction, no path, no wisdom, and no attainment. Because there is nothing to be attained, the bodhisattva, relying on the prajna paramita, has no worries in his heart. Because there are no worries, there is no fear, and he is far away from upside-down dreams and finally attains nirvana. The Buddhas of the three ages, relying on the prajna paramita, attain the anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.
Therefore, we know that the Prajna Paramita is the great mantra, the great bright mantra, the supreme mantra, the incomparable mantra, which can remove all sufferings, and is true and not false. Therefore, the Prajna Paramita mantra is said, that is, the mantra is: Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha..."
I didn't expect that there was an accomplished monk in Guye City.
As the sound of chanting came out, the resentful fog in the air dissipated a lot, and the stars in the sky could be vaguely seen.
Youhuang smiled slightly and continued to play the Buddhist music. He did not seek to convert all the ghosts, but at least to get through the night safely. He would find out tomorrow who was playing the piano and who was chanting the scriptures.
"Let me go please."
"Please let me go..."
"I don't want to die yet. I want to see him again."
"what……"
Granny Xiang's voice of begging for mercy came intermittently, and the last scream scared the Sanskrit chanting so much that it stopped abruptly.
