Chapter 305 Another Kidnapping

After an unknown amount of time, the violent jolting and the choking smell of dust woke Yun Yi. His neck was still burning, and his head was spinning. He found that his hands were tied behind his back with rough hemp rope, and his mouth was gagged with a dirty strip of cloth, so he could only make "woo-woo" sounds.

The carriage was pitch black, with only a faint sliver of light seeping through a gap at the rear. He struggled to twist his body and bumped into another body next to him, also bound and trembling slightly.

Yun Yi and Xu Yun were shoved and led to a corner of a dilapidated courtyard, where there was a makeshift shed made of broken planks and sheet metal, emitting a strong musty smell. The shed's door was locked with a rusty padlock.

"Stay put! If you cause any trouble, I'll break your legs!" Scarface threatened viciously before leaving with his men.

The shack was dimly lit, with only a few rays of light filtering through the cracks. The ground was covered with damp, moldy straw, and the air was filled with a nauseating stench.

Two other girls were huddled in the corner. They looked no older than Xu Yun, with empty eyes and tear stains and bruises on their faces. When they saw Yun Yi and Xu Yun come in, they just glanced at them numbly and then shrank back. They had obviously been tortured to the point of losing hope.

"Waaah..." Xu Yun finally couldn't hold back her tears and they fell. The immense fear made her tremble all over. She wanted to transform into a monster and tear everything apart, but the dark power within her was unusually dormant.
