A gentle breeze swept across the lake as Lin Chuyue stood by the water's edge, gazing at the shimmering surface. The restlessness in her heart seemed to be slowly soothed by the night.
Li Zhanchuan stood quietly beside her, composed and serene, like a solid fortress.
"Why did you suddenly bring me here?" Lin Chuyue glanced sideways at Li Zhanchuan, her eyes filled with a hint of inquiry.
Li Zhanchuan lowered his eyes and said in a deep voice, "You've been too tense lately. It would be good for you to relax a bit."
Lin Chuyue smiled gently, a faint smile curving her lips: "It seems that President Li does care about people."
Li Zhanchuan looked at her, his gaze deep and unfathomable: "I have no interest in anyone else."

Lin Chuyue's eyes darkened, and her voice remained calm: "Have Li Gang come to the office."
Less than ten minutes later, Li Gang rushed in, placed a document on the table, and said in a serious tone: "President Lin, there are several unclear details regarding the flow of funds in this project plan. Li Gang said in a low voice, "He explained that the budget adjustment was due to market price fluctuations, but I felt he was being somewhat perfunctory."

She pondered for a moment, then picked up the phone on the table, dialed Wang Peng's number, and said calmly, "Manager Wang, come to my office."

Wang Peng's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure and said in a low voice, "President Lin, there may have been some errors in the finance department's verification. I will check it again."
Lin Chuyue smiled slightly, her tone meaningful: "I hope so. I'll give you a day to double-check. Remember, I don't want to see any mistakes."
Wang Peng nodded quickly, but a hint of panic flashed in his eyes: "Yes, I understand."
Watching Wang Peng leave, Lin Chuyue's gaze gradually darkened. She tapped her fingers lightly on the table and said coldly to Li Gang, "Keep a close eye on him, especially his recent cash flow. If necessary, contact the technical department to check his back-end records."
Li Gang's expression hardened, and he nodded, saying, "Understood, President Lin."
Lin Chuyue leaned back in her chair, a vague unease rising in her heart—although Shen Fang had left, her power had not been completely dismantled, and Wang Peng was likely a pawn she had left in the company.
Gu Yanchuan's second invitation
In the afternoon, just as Lin Chuyue was about to leave the company, her phone rang again, and the screen displayed the three words "Gu Yanchuan".
She frowned slightly and answered the phone: "Mr. Gu, is something the matter?"
Gu Yanchuan's tone was somewhat lazy: "President Lin, I've sent the cooperation proposal to your email. What do you think of it?"
Lin Chuyue glanced through the emails and said calmly, "The plan is good. The Luo Group has a great advantage in resources."
