Lin Chuyue had been busy all morning and was just about to catch her breath when her assistant, Xiao Zhang, knocked on the door and came in: "President Lin, we just received news that President Gu is downstairs and he hopes to talk to you."
Lin Chuyue was slightly taken aback, then nodded: "Please invite him up."

"Chuyue," he said directly after sitting down, "I've already discussed the engagement with my parents. They also feel that there's no point in dragging it out any longer."
Lin Chuyue paused, looked up at him, and said frankly, "I was just thinking of talking to my father again. After all, this matter concerns both families, and handling it properly will prevent outsiders from gossiping."
Gu Yanchuan nodded, his gaze calm: "Don't worry, I will handle the Gu family's part well and try my best to keep things from attracting too much attention."
Lin Chuyue nodded slightly: "Thank you."
The atmosphere between the two was very peaceful, without a trace of emotional entanglement, as if they were simply discussing a routine business deal. However, this tranquil atmosphere brought a faint sense of relief to Lin Chuyue's heart.

Xiao Ning paused slightly, hesitated for a moment before speaking, "I heard that she and Gu Yanchuan are discussing breaking off their engagement."

After a moment of silence, he slowly said, "Send an invitation to President Lin for tomorrow's banquet."
Xiao Ning was taken aback: "You mean, invite her to participate?"

The banquet was held at a secluded private club on the outskirts of the city, with soft lighting and lush greenery all around. As soon as Lin Chuyue got out of the car, she saw Li Zhanchuan already waiting at the door.
"President Li," Lin Chuyue smiled slightly, her tone indifferent, "Is this grand gesture prepared for me?"
Li Zhanchuan's lips curled up slightly, his tone carrying a hint of gentleness: "It's rare for President Lin to grace us with his presence, so we will naturally make the arrangements carefully."
The two entered the club one after the other. The banquet was not large, but every guest present was extraordinary. Lin Chuyue looked around and quickly realized Li Zhanchuan's intention—this was a carefully arranged business networking occasion.
"Are these people the resources you brought for the cooperation?" she asked in a low voice, a hint of understanding in her eyes.
Li Zhanchuan looked at her, his gaze focused: "Not entirely. Some of the people here are just there to introduce you. Your future is more than that."
Lin Chuyue was taken aback and couldn't help but glance at him. There was no trace of mockery in his tone, but rather an unprecedented seriousness.
During the banquet, Li Zhanchuan stayed by her side almost every step of the way, constantly introducing her to new contacts. Lin Chuyue felt conflicted; she vaguely sensed that Li Zhanchuan's concern for her might go beyond a simple business partnership.
Gu Yanchuan finished his day's work and returned home to find his mother and Luo Yurou sitting in the living room.
"Yanchuan, come and sit down." Gu's mother greeted him with a smile. "Yurou and I were just talking about her internship. She had a lot of interesting ideas for the company's projects."
Luo Yurou looked up at him with a shy smile on her face: "Uncle Gu just praised me, saying that my idea was very innovative."
