Chapter 183 Final Exam
Chapter 183 Final Exam
The lingering aroma of dinner still hung in the air. Jiang Songchu ended the cozy time at the dinner table, her heart already flying back to her bedroom.
She practically skipped into the room, the door closing gently, shutting out the outside noise and leaving only a quiet and expectant atmosphere.
Jiang Songchu sat down on the edge of the bed, her eyes flashing with eagerness, impatiently waking up Tongtong in the system space.
"Tongtong, are you there?" Jiang Songchu called out softly, her voice tinged with urgency.
In my mind, the image of a virtual little girl gradually emerged.
The little girl had two cute little braids that swayed gently with her movements, making her look exceptionally adorable.
She wore a light blue dress, the hem of which was adorned with twinkling lights, making her look like an elf who had stepped out of the starry sky.
The little girl blinked her big eyes and replied with a grin, "Chuchu, I'm here! What's wrong? You look a little nervous."
Jiang Songchu frowned and said in a low voice, "Do you remember what happened this afternoon? That alarm about the 'Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic'..."
"I have a feeling something's not right. Can you help me find out?"
Upon hearing Jiang Songchu's words, Tongtong immediately patted his virtual chest and said confidently, "Chuchu, don't worry! I'm your personal system, I'll take care of this little thing!"
"This is indeed strange; there shouldn't be such a reward."
"I'll go to the system planet right now to find the main system and get some answers. I'm sure I can give you a satisfactory one!"
"Just stay home and be careful, and wait for my good news."
Seeing Tongtong's confident demeanor, Jiang Songchu felt a little less uneasy, but she still couldn't help asking, "How long will it take you to go back? Will there be any danger?"
She tilted her head slightly, her two little braids swaying gently with her movement. She blinked and answered with a grin.
"Chu Chu, don't worry!"
"The system planet isn't far from here. I'll be back after your final exams!"
"I'll definitely come back with the answer then, and I promise you'll be at ease!"
Jiang Songchu nodded gently and asked, "How long will your round trip take? Will you encounter any dangers along the way?"
Upon hearing this, Tongtong immediately spun around excitedly, her pigtails swaying gently with her movements, her face beaming with a childlike, innocent smile.
"Chu Chu, don't worry! The system planet isn't far from here. It's like visiting a neighbor to me."
"However, because I need to go deep into the core area of the main system, I may enter a deep hibernation state, which will probably take four or five days."
Jiang Songchu looked at the optimistic little guy in front of her, her worry deepening.
She forced a smile, trying to hide her inner anxiety: "Okay, Tongtong, be careful on your way. I'll wait for you here, remember to come back soon."
A hint of worry flashed in Jiang Songchu's eyes, but she did not show it.
She always felt that something was about to happen, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was.
She sighed softly and nodded: "Okay, then you must be careful. I'll wait for you to come back."
All of them nodded happily, then circled around in Jiang Songchu's mind, and the starlight on her skirt shone brightly with her movements.
She waved and said in a light voice, "Chuchu, I'm leaving now! Take good care of yourself, don't worry too much about me!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Tongtong's figure gradually blurred and eventually disappeared from Jiang Songchu's mind.
The room fell silent, with only the gentle sound of the wind blowing through the window.
Jiang Songchu sat at her desk, her fingers unconsciously stroking the surface, but her heart was still restless.
"What will happen..."
She murmured softly, her voice almost inaudible.
"I hope everything goes well..."
She said softly, then drew the curtains and turned back to her desk.
Her desk was piled high with review materials, and the pressure of the final exams forced her to bring her attention back to reality.
However, a strange premonition lingered in her heart, as if something was quietly approaching.
Just then, Aman's clear voice called from downstairs: "Songchu, it's time to leave! We'll be late if we don't go now!"
Jiang Songchu snapped out of her reverie, quickly stuffed the books and review materials on the table into her backpack, slung the bag over her shoulder, and strode out of the room.
As she came downstairs, she replied, "Coming, coming!"
Aman stood at the door, holding her car keys, a hint of anxiety on her face: "What's wrong with you today? You're usually quite punctual."
Jiang Songchu smiled sheepishly: "I was thinking about something and didn't notice the time."
Aman shook his head helplessly and opened the car door: "Get in quickly, or we'll get stuck in traffic."
Jiang Songchu got into the car, fastened her seatbelt, and the car slowly drove out of Rhine Garden.
She leaned back in her chair, closed her eyes, and tried to call out to Tongtong in her mind: "Tongtong, are you still there?"
However, there was only silence in my mind, and no response.
Jiang Songchu's heart sank slightly. She knew that the system had entered a dormant state and had headed to the system planet.
She sighed softly, silently praying, "Tongtong, you must come back safely..."
After returning to school, Jiang Songchu resumed her repetitive life.
A tense atmosphere permeated the campus as everyone made their final push for the upcoming final exams.
Students can be seen engrossed in their studies everywhere—in classrooms, corridors, and even the cafeteria.
Everyone seemed to be communicating less, as if they were afraid of running out of time, and even had to run to the toilet.
Jiang Songchu was no exception; she was either studying or on her way to study every day.
Finally, Wednesday arrived, and the joint final exams for the first semester of the first year of high school at No. 39 Middle School and Experimental Middle School officially began.
Early in the morning, Jiang Songchu got up and, after washing up, stood in front of the mirror, looked at herself, took a deep breath, and silently encouraged herself: "Come on, Jiang Songchu! You can do it!"
She slung her backpack over her shoulder and walked out of the dormitory with her roommates. The morning sun shone on her, bringing a touch of warmth.
Many students were already rushing to the examination hall on campus, their faces showing tension and anticipation.
Jiang Songchu entered the examination room and found her seat.
She neatly arranged the stationery on the table, closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm herself down.
The exam bell rang, and the invigilator distributed the exam papers.
Jiang Songchu picked up the test paper, quickly glanced through the questions, frowned, and seemed somewhat incredulous at the difficulty of the test paper in front of him.
