Chapter 128: Summoning
Chapter 128: Summoning
Not only will it not exist, but it's even possible that someone will destroy the rest of it.
Song Miqiu fell silent again, and after a while she raised her head. Just as she was about to say something, she was suddenly interrupted by the person standing opposite her.
"This is troublesome, but are you willing to believe me?"
"Trust you? Why would you help me? Just because you got involved too?"
Yu Huailin remained silent, only calmly watching Song Miqiu sitting on the ground and letting out another sigh.
If he has other ways to get in, there's no need to worry so much.
But the most important thing is that another identity has been implicated. If this cannot be resolved, his sudden disappearance will only raise more suspicion.
Thinking about the potential trouble that might follow, Yu Huailin frowned deeply and let out another sigh after a long while.
"I'll help you find the evidence, but I have one more request."
"So it's not free help?"
However, this actually put Song Miqiu at ease, and a smile appeared on her lips.
However, this only made people feel that there was room for negotiation, so they could only look up again at Yu Huailin standing outside.
"I would feel more at ease if I knew what you wanted."
"How about another mask?"
What does he want the mask for? To play two roles or as a backup identity?
Regardless, she would probably want to leave and use it, so it wouldn't pose much danger to her.
After much deliberation, Song Miqiu finally reached out his hand with difficulty to shake hands with the other person.
But at that very moment, footsteps suddenly came from the side, and Yu Huailin slapped her outstretched hand back.
"Behave yourself, or you'll regret it."
"I have been wronged! I demand to see His Majesty!"
But these words only elicited a cold laugh, followed by a bowl of water being poured directly over his head.
Song Miqiu felt her hair get completely wet and her heart was filled with rage, but because of the other person's deadpan gaze, she felt something was wrong and could only shut her mouth and shrink back into the corner.
Realizing he couldn't mock Song Miqiu, the other party wasn't angry and simply turned his gaze to the unfamiliar guard in front of him.
"What are you still doing here? Get back to your post."
"Yes."
Yu Huailin remembered his identity and immediately stepped back to stand by the door, where he remained still.
The man glanced at the eerily quiet cell, then let out another cold snort before walking out of the room with disdain.
Once she was sure the person wouldn't come back, Song Miqiu raised her head and carefully wiped the water droplets off her head with her clothes.
Fortunately, she still had the system. Although she couldn't move around much, she definitely wouldn't die of thirst.
With that, Song Miqiu carefully searched through the system and finally found what she wanted. She put them all into the waiting list, ready to buy them directly when needed.
But she wasn't hungry right now, so she couldn't waste the time. She took off her dirty clothes from outside, spread them on the ground, and sat down on them.
With my back against the wall, I soon felt my eyelids getting heavy and fell asleep in no time.
When I regained consciousness, I smelled the aroma of food coming from outside.
She initially thought there wouldn't be any problems, but just as her fingers were about to touch it, a faint sandalwood scent made her pull her hand back.
"What, you still complain about the food here? If it weren't for the adults showing leniency, a sinner like you would have been dragged out and beheaded long ago."
"Which sage is so kind as to offer me, a sinner, food?"
If we can find out, we might be able to find the person who framed us.
Thinking about this, a hint of excitement flashed in Song Miqiu's eyes.
Unfortunately, they couldn't pry open the man's mouth no matter what they tried, and he almost had someone come in and stuff the food in his mouth.
Song Miqiu could only keep her lips tightly shut, pretending that she was not a sinner and would not confess, and refused to eat a single bite of that stuff.
"What a hassle. If I had known it would be like this, I should have just not prepared any food for you."
Ignoring the other person's words, Song Miqiu seriously considered who was behind the scenes who had placed that thing.
His brows furrowed, and after thinking for a long time, he still couldn't come up with an answer, so he could only look up at the sky.
For three whole days, every single day that person said they weren't prepared, but still left the food at the door.
Upon smelling the familiar scent, Song Miqiu completely ignored it, simply maintaining her original posture and staring blankly ahead.
After a while, the other person suddenly frowned and strode in.
"What's wrong with you? Do you want to die?!"
"How can you talk like that? I just wanted to prove I wasn't wrong. What's it to you? Is there something wrong with the food here?"
Upon hearing Song Miqiu's words, the man suddenly realized the other party's identity and panicked.
But then, realizing that the other person hadn't touched him at all, he turned around and hurriedly left with all the remaining food.
Once everyone was out of sight, Song Miqiu carefully popped a small fruit candy into her mouth.
Feeling her tired body recovering a little, she shrugged her shoulders again, and after a long while, she let out a sigh and closed her eyes.
"How much longer will it take before I can get out?"
Her voice was so soft that she could barely hear it herself, and her brows were furrowed, as if she was about to give up on Yu Huailin at any moment.
Just as I was about to fall asleep, there was another noise outside.
Song Miqiu frowned in confusion, raised his head with difficulty, and saw another guard he had never seen in the prison before.
Who are you?
"You don't need to know who we are. Now get yourself together and come with me."
Sensing that the man was holding something back, Song Miqiu quickly straightened her clothes and struggled to walk outside.
To make it clear that he had indeed been starving for three days, he suddenly staggered forward as he passed the doorway.
"How is this going?"
"This person doesn't want to eat, probably because they're hungry."
Upon hearing this, the guard frowned again. After thinking for a moment, he finally stuffed two mouthfuls into her mouth and dragged her out of the cell.
The rest along the way finally allowed Song Miqiu to regain some strength, at least enough to keep up.
But to her surprise, the journey was not short, and by the time she arrived at the familiar palace, she was already panting heavily.
"Could you gentlemen please allow me to rest for a moment, considering my advanced age?"
"Rest? Who do you think will wait for a sinner like you?"
Hearing that mocking tone, Song Miqiu fell silent again, enduring her physical discomfort, and walked forward step by step.
Sweat poured out, and everything went black before my eyes. I staggered as I followed the others forward.
When the person in front of her stopped, she also managed to stop herself in place.
