Chapter 158 Isn't Mr. Song a God?
Wen Qing nodded, a string in her heart slightly tightened - although she had no evidence, she always felt that he knew something.
She was always exposed in front of him. Apart from staying with him more, she had no other way to prove her loyalty.
"Then I'll go back and stay for a week, okay?" Wen Qing asked for his opinion in a soft voice, "I'll come back to accompany you when I recover, okay?"
Song Jingshen took her hand, put it to his mouth and kissed it, his eyes drooping, and he was very secretive: "Okay."
If an uninformed person suddenly saw this scene, he would definitely think that they were a couple deeply in love, but the actual situation was quite different.
Wen Qing couldn't act any longer, so she gently pulled back her numb hand and said, "Go to bed. We still have things to do tomorrow."
Song Jingshen bent over, picked her up, and walked into the bedroom: "Sleep together."
As she swayed, she felt sleepy and yawned. Knowing that she could go home tomorrow, she felt much calmer. After her head touched the pillow, she fell into a deep sleep. She slept soundly, as if she had just gone through a big exam. She relaxed and fell into a deep sleep without realizing it.
It was almost noon when she woke up. The sunlight came in through the gaps in the curtains, giving the window a golden edge.
The man beside her disappeared, leaving only a note on the bedside table that said "Call me when you're done."
Wen Qing calmed herself down, immediately got up, washed, changed her clothes, and checked her simple luggage again. After making sure she had packed everything, she picked up her phone and dialed Song Jingshen's number.
The phone was quickly answered by a young woman: "Miss Wen, please move to the first floor of the hotel. Someone will take you back."
"Uh, okay. Thank you." Wen Qing was stunned for a moment, said thank you and hung up the phone, then picked up her luggage, opened the door and went downstairs.
After entering the elevator, they arrived at the first floor in a short while. The elevator door opened and Lao Ge stood outside the door. He smiled and waved at her: "This way."
Wen Qing recognized Lao Ge and just followed him, but suddenly her hands were empty because he had already taken the luggage away.
"Let me do it." Old Ge didn't allow her to be polite. He led the way from the side and led her out of the hotel door. "Doctor Xing Lu will take you home today. I will accompany you on the way."
Wen Qing stood by the wide steps at the entrance of the hotel and saw a white Audi A6 slowly approaching. The car window was lowered, revealing a delicate and graceful face. The driver was a young woman in her early thirties, with simple yet delicate makeup. Her hands on the steering wheel were slender and white, and there was a Cartier blue balloon on her left wrist, which made her look gentle and elegant.
"This is Dr. Xing invited by Mr. Song. She will be with you for the next period of time." After a brief introduction, Lao Ge walked around to the rear of the car, opened the trunk, put the luggage in, opened the back door, and looked back at Wen Qing.
"Princess, please get in the car." Xing Lu greeted her with a smile, with a hint of good-natured teasing in her tone.
To Wen Qing, this woman was a complete stranger, even though her entire body had already been examined.
She responded with a naive smile, lowered her head and walked into the trunk, watched Lao Ge close the door, and knocked on the window, indicating that she had something else to say.
Wen Qing lowered the car window, and Lao Ge bent down with great effort, leaning in with most of his face, and said with concern: "Call me if you have anything. Mr. Song is quite busy recently, and he will come to see you when he is done."
"Yeah." Wen Qing nodded, thinking, why would she call for no reason? She was not someone Song Jingshen had, just a person who could come at any time. She was the only one who could answer his calls and follow his arrangements. How could she bother him?
"Uncle Ge, leave the person to me, don't worry." Xing Lu turned around and said to Old Ge, "If Miss Wen needs anything, I will let you know as soon as possible."
"Okay, thank you for your help." Lao Ge waved at Xing Lu, signaling her to raise the car window.
Wen Qing watched the car window slowly close, breathed a sigh of relief, and leaned softly into the seat, but when she saw Xing Lu in the front seat, her heart began to hang in her throat again.
"Doctor Xing, have you known Uncle Ge for a long time?" Wen Qing asked politely.
"Yes." Xing Lu started the car, turned the steering wheel, and drove smoothly on the road. "Didn't you know Uncle Ge before? He is a celebrity in your fourth factory."
"Celebrity?" Wen Qing asked in surprise, "But I don't have much impression of him."
"You are young and focused on studying, so it's normal that you don't know much about the things in the factory. Uncle Ge is a pioneer who promoted the reform of the fourth factory. He was suppressed in the early years, but things have finally improved in recent years." Xing Lu said.
"Doctor Xing, are you also from North City?" Wen Qing asked tentatively.
"I'm from Beicheng, but not from the Fourth Factory. You guys are state-owned enterprises, which were like unsinkable aircraft carriers in the past. I'm just an ordinary citizen, a lone ranger, and I can't compare with you." Xing Lu's tone was relaxed, with a hint of self-deprecation, and then she changed the subject and asked, "You haven't known Mr. Song for long, right?"
Wen Qing was stunned for a moment, then said "hmm" and stopped talking. Xing Lu stuck out her tongue and didn't ask any more questions.
To get from the hotel to the dormitory of the fourth factory, we had to cross most of the northern city area and catch the afternoon rush hour. There was a bit of traffic jam in the city center. The white Audi A6 stopped and started with the traffic and it took more than an hour to arrive at the fourth factory.
From a long distance, you can see the factory's towering chimneys, volcano-shaped blast furnaces, densely crisscrossing steel pipes, and dark-colored factory buildings. The hard and rough lines outline a unique punk-style heavy industrial scene. The dust in the air creates a bleak doomsday atmosphere, which makes people feel inexplicably depressed.
"The air here is so bad. It's really hard for you people in Factory 4 to endure it for so many years." Xing Lu complained.
"It's inevitable that the air quality in a steel plant next to a coal mine is worse," Wen Qing said. "I didn't think it was good when I lived here, but I still miss it when I left for Jiangcheng."
"You're quite nostalgic." Xing Lu glanced at Wen Qing in the rearview mirror, thought for a moment and said, "People who are nostalgic find it hard to accept new people, but once they accept someone, it's hard for them to forget."
Wen Qing looked around and said, "It's okay. I can adapt to the environment."
Xing Lu smiled slightly when she heard this and said nothing more.
The Audi A6 bypassed the huge steel plant and drove towards the dormitory area west of the coal mine.
"Do your parents work in the mine or the factory?" Xing Lu asked again.
"In the factory area. I'm not familiar with the mining area. I only know a few neighbors who work here." Wen Qing answered truthfully.
"I heard from Lao Ge that the project that your President Song brought this time will be implemented in the mining area, right?" Xing Lu asked.
"Probably. As for the project, I'm not a core member, so I don't know the details. Are you also interested in the project?" Wen Qing asked back.
"Don't call me that. You're calling me old. You can call me Sister Xing or Sister Lu. I'm only ten years older than you."
"Sister Lu." Wen Qing called out obediently, which instantly shortened the distance between the two of them, making her unable to help but inquire about the other party, "Are you really a doctor?"
"What? Not like me?" Xing Lu quickly glanced at the rearview mirror and laughed, "Then what do you think I look like?"
"Like school psychologists and university teachers, they are not like doctors on duty in hospitals," said Wen Qing.
"You are quite good at judging people. I haven't worked in a hospital for a long time. I set up a private clinic and run it myself."
"You're so awesome." Wen Qing envied her sincerely. She admired anyone who could make a living by relying on their real abilities.
"Is that amazing?" Xing Lu laughed. "Then your CEO Song must be a god, being the CEO of a listed company at such a young age."
"He is a rich second-generation, different from us." Wen Qing's voice became smaller.
"Reincarnation is part of ability." Xing Lu said with emotion, "We don't have the reincarnation skills, so we must seize the opportunity, otherwise, we will be like cattle and horses for a lifetime and never get to the end."
Wen Qing listened silently, and suddenly felt that the distance between the two of them, which had just been shortened, had quietly become farther.
